Coloured computed tomography (CT) angiogram showing the right internal carotid artery and a side view scan of the brain of a 48-year-old male patient admitted to hospital. The patient was admitted after having violent headaches, vomiting and weakness of movements of the left arm. This scan shows a right arteriovenous parieto-temporal malformation in the rupture phase requiring interventional surgery. An AVM is an abnormal blood vessel arrangement.
