Erected shortly before Shalmaneser's death records the King's campaigns and shows tribute being brought by 5 vassal nations including Gilzanu, western Iran; Jehu, King of Israel; Musri, eastern Iran; Suhi, middle Euphrates; Patina, south Turkey. The 2.2 meter obelisk is sculpted from fine - grain black limestone streaked with white. British Museum.
