2563477 Falconry bag, glove and accessories, c.1610-19 (mixed media) by English School, (17th century); Burrell Collection, Glasgow, Scotland; (add.info.: Falconry accessories from about 1610-1619 that belonged to James VI of Scotland and I of England, who was an enthusiastic falconer. The pouch was used to hold the accessories and titbits for the falcon. The accessories also include a matching glove, a lure and two hoods. They were left behind at Wroxton Abbey, the home of Sir William Pope, when James visited there on 23 August 1619. During his stay the King was entertained ???ith fashionable and courtly diversions of hawking and bear baiting??
