Neosat communications satellite launch preparations, 2019. Neosat is a next-generation communications satellite platform being developed by the European Space Agency (ESA). It will develop mid-range geostationary satellites weighing between three and six tonnes. Mid-range satellites account for eighty per cent of commercial satellites. The first launches are scheduled for 2019. Here, the Konnect satellite is being prepared at Thales Alenia Space (TAS) in Cannes, France, on 28 February 2019. Konnect will provide broadband to Europe and Africa.
