Reed Flute Cave takes its name from the reeds that used to grow at the entrance to the cave. These reeds were used to make flutes. The name Guilin means ˉCassia Woodsˇ and is named after the osmanthus (cassia) blossoms that bloom throughout the autumn period. Guilin is the scene of Chinaˇs most famous landscapes, inspiring thousands of paintings over many centuries. The ˉfinest mountains and rivers under heavenˇ are so inspiring that poets, artists and tourists have made this Chinaˇs number one natural attraction.
