On 17th of June 2021, the Shenzhou 12 spacecraft docked to Tiangong 3 space station's central module, Tianhe, with three astronauts onboard. The Tiangong space station is designed to conduct experiments in space. Tianzhou Mengtian and Wentian space laboratory modules are expected to be launched to add to the construction of the Tiangong 3 space station in 2022.
