Illustration of a child with two heads, two necks and four arms. This figure accompanies a 1781 midwifery report by English physician and man-midwife Robert Bland (1730-1816), looking at accidents and deaths as a consequence of childbirth in the Westminster General Dispensary. His report states that this child was born to the wife of a peruke-maker (wig maker). Print published in The Royal Society's scientific journal Philosophical Transactions.
