Johannes Andreas Grib Fibiger (1867-1928), Danish physician, microbiologist and Nobel laureate. Fibiger was awarded the 1926 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine. The Nobel was awarded for Fibiger's discovery of microbes that cause cancer, though his initial work was later discovered to be in error.
