Passengers are transported in pressurised capsules that ride on a cushion of air in tubes with reduced air pressure. It is thought that speeds of up to 1220 kilometres per hour could be attained. Several designs have been proposed. This one is in Paris, France, based on a proposal to use a Hyperloop system to link the cities of Amsterdam and Paris by 2021.
