Xistridura, Cambrian trilobite fossil. Trilobites were arthropods that fed as they crawled on the seabed. They lived between 500 and 300 million years ago and are now extinct. This specimen dates from the Middle Cambrian, and was found in the Lludillan Stage, Thorntonia Limestone, Gum Ridge, Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, Australia. It is a complete individual specimen, with a large and semicircular cephalon with sharp genal spines and large crescentic eyes. The pygidium has two spines. This specimen is 1.9 centimetres long.
