Panorama of Mars taken by Mastcam-Z on the Perseverance rover. This is the first high-resolution panorama image taken by the Mastcam-Z instrument. Perseverance was carried to Mars aboard the Mars 2020 spacecraft, which launched from Earth on 30th July 2020. Perseverance successfully touched down in Jezero Crater on 18th February 2021. It will study the geology of Mars and search for signs of life. Panorama formed from 79 images obtained on 22nd February 2021.
