Plant habitat testing. Scientist working in the Advanced Plant Habitat (APH) unit, located inside the International Space Station (ISS) Environmental Simulator in Kennedy Space Center's Space Station Processing Facility, Florida, USA. Plants are grown in an environmentally controlled chamber which uses red, green and broad-spectrum white LED lights. The seeds grown during testing will be also be grown on the ISS to help scientists understand how these plants adapt to spaceflight.
