Illustration of the murder of the German anatomist Johann Georg Wirsung (1589-1643) by Giacomo Cambier on 22nd August 1643. The murder was a result of an argument over who had discovered the pancreatic duct, which Wirsung claimed to have discovered in 1642. Illustration published in 1879.
