Kenneth Pounds (born 1934), British astrophysicist. Pounds is Emeritus Professor of Space Physics at the University of Leicester. Pounds was Project Scientist for the Wide Field Camera (WFC) on the ROSAT satellite (launched 1990), which carried out the first extreme ultraviolet all-sky survey. He also worked on ESA's XMM-Newton X-ray Observatory, which launched in 2000. Pounds was elected Fellow of the Royal Society (1981) and made CBE (1984).
