Imperial fireworks display, 17th-century illustration. Fireworks at the chateau at Hemissem (Hemiksem), near Antwerp in what is today Belgium. This artwork is part of a series of four prints commemorating the visit paid by a senior official of the Holy Roman Empire (the Imperial Postmaster-General, the count de la Tour et Tassis) and his wife, to Alexander Roelants, the Imperial Postmaster for the Netherlands. This artwork is by Bohemian painter Wenceslaus Hollar (1607-1677).
