A Trumpeter hornbill (Bycanistes bucinator) characterized by a large grey casque on its bill, in Saint Lucia bay, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. The females have a smaller casque. This bird is similar in appearance to the silvery-cheeked hornbill. The main distinguishing features being that the Trumpeter includes an all-black back, white belly and white underwing coverts and red facial skin.
