Rostral column in the gardens of the Ch?teau de M?r?ville, Essonne, France, (1903). 'Colonne Rostrale, Dans Les Jardins De M?r?ville'. View of the column, built in 1787, on an island in the main lake, in honour of the marquis' two young sons, ?douard (1762-1786) and Ange Auguste (1766-1786) who died at Lituya Bay in Alaska during the La P?rouse expedition.
