Italy; Tuscany; city of Prato: Palazzo Pretorio (built 1284); today city history and art museum (reopened 2013). The area of Palazzo Pretorio was bought and rebuilt by Fresco di Frescobaldi; in 1284. he then was Capitano del Popolo (Captain of the people). The building housed the city government. Renovated; it reopened in 2013 as the city museum; showing art master pieces of the 14th to 20th century; including works of Donatello; Fra Filippo Lippi; Filippino Lippi; Bernardo Daddi or Lorenzo Bartolini. As well; six sculptures of Lithuania born sculptor Jacques Lipchitz aka Chaim Jakoff Lipschitz (1891 - 1973) have been bought; in 2011.
