Milk 'pram', 1933. 'Pneumatic tyres on ball-bearing wheels, bumpers, and a hand-brake have been fitted to the latest type of milk "pram" - to the delight of sleepers, no longer awakened by the clatter of bottles in the early hours of the morning! Twenty gallons of milk can be carried with a minimum of effort by the employee, who can thus do an eighteen-mile round per day. The "pram" is also more hygienic than the old style cart'. From "The Pageant of the Century". [Odhams Press Ltd, 1933]
