Sir H Montagu Allan, 1911. Portrait of Canadian businessman and sportsman Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Hugh Andrew Montagu Allan (1860-1951), deputy chairman of the family-owned Allan Steamship Line. Allan co-founded and was president of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Montreal, and donated the Allan Cup, a trophy that is awarded to the Canadian men's amateur ice hockey champions.
