A tourist on a whale-watching trip reaches out to touch a surfacing grey whale (Eschrichtius robustus). Grey whales are found in coastal waters, migrating with the seasons from Arctic waters to tropical equatorial waters. They can grow up to 15 metres in length and weigh 16 tonnes.
