A double ended crystal of calcite (CaCO3) perched on a group of Sphalerite crystals. Sphalerite (ZnS) is a fairly common zinc sulfide mineral. It has a metallic to submetallic nature and an adamantine luster. Specimen is from Elmwood, Tennessee, USA, and measures 150 mm in width.
