A faded common blue butterfly (Polyommatus icarus) feeding on a yarrow in a calcareous limestone habitat. This butterfly has picked up a number of small scarlet red parasitic mites (Trombidium breei) which are not usually fatal to the butterfly unless the infestation becomes too large. Photographed in Somerset UK, in August.
