There is nothing very particular to detain us here. The Lake, of which a portion is seen, is four miles in length and very deep. The water is exceedingly pure, and abounds with fish. Unfortunately, however, the right of fishing is private. The surrounding hills are very favourable for grouse sportsmen, and on this account the neighbourhood is much frequented in the season. The Aran mountains, close by, present many beautiful and distant views of the country.
