EATON HALL, Eaton, Cheshire. The fireplace and ornate mantlepiece in the saloon at Eaton Hall. Eaton Hall was remodelled in the Gothic style in 1870-1882 by Alfred Waterhouse for the Duke of Westminster. In 1963 the main part of the hall was demolished, and a new hall constructed. The chapel, clock tower and stables were retained. Photographed by Bedford Lemere in 1887.
