PITTVILLE PUMP ROOM, Pittville Park, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Cheltenham developed as a spa in the late 18th and early 19th century. The Pittville Pump Room was built for Joseph Pitt in 1825-30 as a business venture. The landscaped gardens are viewed here from the Neo-Grecian colonnaded entrance to the Pump Rooms.
