Chastel Blanc, or Burj Safita, Tartous Governorate, Syria. Built in the 12th century by the Knights Templar as one of a string of Crusader fortifications in the area. Following earthquake damage the keep was last rebuilt in 1202. Photographed by Aerofilms Ltd; date uncertain, probably 1950s.
