First produced at the Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne, 12th November and Apollo Theatre, 20th November 1928. Flyer for Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith revival, 26th December 1929. This is a postcard for Lyric Hammersmith, but of course part of the same set of costume designs. In his design for the Queen, George Sheringham the artist, has kept particularly close to an original drawing by Thackeray, even down to the handkerchief which she is holding.
