Promotional postcard for The Importance of Being Ernest by Oscar Wilde. First produced at the St. James?s Theatre, on 14th February 1895. For the St. James revival, 25th November 1909. George Alexander, left, and Allan Aynesworth played the parts they had created. Stella Patrick Campbell and Rosalie Toller, centre, were now the female leads. Despite the advanced age of the leading men, the run lasted eleven months.
