This letter, from the Comedy Theatre, Manchester, is dated November 1894. ?East Lynne? and ?The Shaughraun? are still in the repertoire; ?Jack Shepherd? and ?The Ticket-of-Leave Man? are of the same vintage. The engagement of Henry Neville in the latter play would have been a coup for Hardacre. ?The Sultan of Mocha? was a musical.
