Doris Delavigne, Viscountess Castlerosse, dressed as a fish part of a 'living Christmas dinner' set of fancy dress at the Santa Claus Ball held at the Kit-Cat club on 18 December 1929 in aid of Queen Charlotte's Hospital National Mother-Saving Campaign. The ball featured a pageant on the theme of Queen Charlotte's Christmas Dinner where well-known Society beauties were disguised as different courses, wine, spirits and puddings! The dresses were designed by the artist Mrs 'Peter' Baxendale and the event was organised by Barbara herself.
