Charles I by W. G. Wills. First produced on 28th September 1872 . The play was written for Sir Henry Irving (6 February 1838 ? 13 October 1905) and was one of several parts played by his son, Harry Brodribb, (5 August 1870 ? 17 October 1919). Harry, pictured here, was commonly known as H B. ?The Lyons Mail? and ?The Bells? were also old Henry Irving favourites that H. B. played on this tour, which reached The Grand Theatre in Southampton on 14th October 1907.
