Iconic funerary mask of Pharao Tutankhamun (reigned 1332?1323 BC), discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter in the Valley of the Kings. Made of solid gold, inlaid with semi-precious stones and coloured glass paste, the mask is an idealised portrait of the king and one of the widest known treasures of Ancient Egypt.
