The graves of the Wigtown Martyrs - Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. Margaret Wilson (circa 1667?1685) was a young Scottish Covenanter, from Wigtown, executed by drowning for refusing to swear an oath declaring James VII as head of the church. She died along with Margaret McLachlan, the girls becoming known as the Wigtown Martyrs.
