William Pitt (Prime Minister) fights Richard Sheridan of the opposition in a bare knuckle boxing match. Sheridan is cheered on by Charles James Fox, and Pitt is backed by King George III. Pitt had become unpopular due to military failures, higher taxation and a poor harvest. He was attacked in public and often required a personal guard. In response, Pitt introduced the Seditious Meetings Bill, banning groups of over 50 people meeting without the approval of a magistrate
