A View of the City of London from the Thames' ? This view shows the Thames looking up river, with the Tower of London to the right of the painting. In the centre distance of the picture are seen the Towers of St Dunstan in the East and the Church of St Magnus, with Monument further along. To the extreme left is St Paul's Cathedral. Joseph Nicholls flourished from 1734 to 1748, and specialised in views of the Thames.
