Suffragette Votes for Women Arrested Policemen. A woman walking with policeman either side, holding her wrists, is arrested in a street. Captioned - 'Votes for Women! The price we pay for demanding our rights', Issued by the Women's Social and Political Union. Identified as the first postcard which can be directly attributed to the W.S.P.U, it dates from early 1906, and shows suffragette Irene Miller (1880-1964), later a Women's Freedom League member.
