Stirrup Charge by the 2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys) & Black Watch at St Quentin, 30 August 1914. by Countess Feodora Gleichen, RE (1861-1922). She was one of the leading women sculptors of her day, and probably the only British sculptor to live in St. James's Palace, where she also had her studio from 1903 to 1915. Countess Gleichen's brother was Major-General Lord Albert Edward Wilfred Gleichen who served during WW1, commanding the 15th Brigade from 1911 to 1915, and then the 37th Division from 1915 to 1916. He was Director of the Intelligence Bureau at the Department of Information from 1917 to 1918.
