Australian Memorial Park - Festubert "Cobbers" statue commemorating the Australian attack on Fromelles on 19th/20th July 1916. when over 4000 men died in what was intended as a diversionary attack to assist the Somme offensive. Man depicted is Sgt Simon Fraser 57/Bn. AIF whose company brought in 250 wounded men during the battle. Later commissioned but killed at Bullecourt on 12 May 1917.
