Act five of the Kanadehon Chushingura. Print shows Yoichibei, an old man, returning home after selling his daughter, Okaru, to a brothel to raise money so that his son-in-law, Kampei, can redeem himself. Yochibei is being robbed and murdered by Sadakuro. Kampei, out hunting, is seen in the background asking a traveler for a fire to light the wick of his musket. Scene from act five of the play Chushingura or revenge of the 47 Ronin. Date between 1804 and 1812.
