Sir George Frampton pictured in his studio with a sculpture of Peter Pan, the famous fictional creation of J. M. Barrie. The sculpture was erected in Kensington Gardens on 1 May 1912. There was no formal unveiling and the statue simply appeared, as if by magic, one morning.
