A jolly gentleman ("Sir Davy" Stephens (c1844-1925) of Kingstown, Co Dublin, the King of Irish Newspapers) holding up a poster for The Winning Post (Saturday 2 June) run by Robert S Sievier. He used the publication to attack those he disliked on the turf. He had a news stand for over forty years, and travelled to the Epsom Derby every year.
