Jump sheet demonstration by firefighters at Southwark HQ -- a long gone London Fire Brigade training routine. Jumping sheets were carried on front line London fire engines until late 1941 when the wartime National Fire Service came about. Until then weekly drill with a firefighter playing the jumper took place. Here, during a display at Southwark, the command has gone out: ?Taut Sheet!? and a London firefighter falls onto the sheet, almost standing to attention on his way down.
