Portrait of the Rev. Josiah Henson, ex-slave, minster and abolitionist, pictured in March 1877 when he was in Britain to visit Queen Victoria. He was believed to be the model for 'Uncle Tom' in Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel, 'Uncle Tom's Cabin'.
