Engraving showing the crew of HMS 'Alexandra' taking beef aboard ship from a small supply boat, off Tuzla, in the Sea of Marmora. The supply ship has also brought fish, barrels and the washing. At this time 'Alexandra'; launched in 1877 and sold off at Chatham in 1903; was proceeding to Constantinople to protect British Interests during the outbreak of hostilities between Russia and Turkey.
