Series of images from 1907 showing a Telharmony machine, invented by Dr. Thaddeus Cahill. A player on the Telharmonium controls vibrating currents from a series of dynamos, each of which corresponds to a separate note of music. The music is then transmitted and played through a vase or 'ornamental urn'.
