John Edward Masefield (1878-1967), OM - English poet and writer, and Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1930 until his death. During World War One, Masefield joined the staff of a British hospital for French soldiers, H?pital Temporaire d'Arc-en-Barrois, Haute-Marne, France and served briefly in 1915 as a hospital orderly.
