The night of October 27-28, 2004 was quite special in Massachusetts. That night the Boston Red Sox won the World Series and ended the 86-year losing streak that came to be known as the "Curse of the Bambino". The last World Series the Red Sox won was in 1918. In addition, the Moon underwent a total eclipse during the game. Above is a time lapse photograph taken over the course of three hours in which the photographer used a red flash light to paint the long-awaited words, "2004 Sox Win!"
