The Tabacon Resort and Spa is located at the base of Feisty Arenal volcano. Various pools in the spa are naturally heated to various temperatures. If Arenal were to have a big eruption it is quite possible it could reach the spa before complete evacuation was possible. Underground magma activity could also cause the hot springs to become extremely hot.
