Analog multimeter. Multimeters are electronic measuring instruments which contain both an ammeter and voltmeter, enabling them to measure current, voltage and resistance. Here it is being used as a voltmeter. They have their own power source and can be used to troubleshoot electrical problems in a wide array of industrial and household devices, such as batteries, appliances, power supplies, and wiring systems. On an analogue meter the reading is displayed by the needle and dial at the top.
